Terms & Conditions

1. Rental Eligibility

• Drivers must be at least 23 years old with a valid driver’s license held for a minimum of 2 years.
• The renter is responsible for ensuring that only authorized drivers operate the vehicle.
• Vehicles are rented for a minimum of 3 days.

2. Booking & Payment

• A reservation is confirmed once payment is received (deposit or full amount, depending on agreement).
• Accepted payment methods include cash, bank transfer, or mobile money (M-Pesa).
• All rates are quoted per day (24 hours). Extra hours may attract additional charges.

3. Vehicle Usage

• Vehicles may not be used for illegal activities, racing, towing, or off-road driving.
• Carrying contraband, illegal goods, or substances is strictly prohibited.
• Smoking inside the vehicle is strictly prohibited.
• The renter must comply with all traffic laws and regulations.

4. Fuel Policy

• Vehicles are supplied with fuel and must be returned with the same fuel level.
• Refueling charges may apply if the vehicle is returned with less fuel.

5. Insurance & Liability

• Vehicles are insured with comprehensive cover, subject to an excess fee in case of damage or accident.
• The renter is responsible for traffic fines and penalties during the rental period.
• The renter is responsible for damage caused by negligence, reckless driving, or unauthorized drivers.
• Any damages below Ksh 300,000 must be covered by the renter despite the comprehensive insurance policy.

6. Late Return

• A grace period of 1 hour is allowed.
• Beyond this, additional charges will apply (equivalent to a full day if delay exceeds 6 hours).

7. Cancellations & Refunds

• Cancellations made 48 hours before pickup are eligible for a full refund.
• Late cancellations or “no-shows” may result in forfeiture of the booking deposit.

8. Company Rights

• Sifa Travels & Car Hire reserves the right to refuse rental to any person not meeting requirements.
• The company may substitute a vehicle of similar class in case of unavailability.
• The company may amend these terms at any time without prior notice.
